Project Details
The Government of Bangladesh (GoB) intends to enhance the rural connectivity through the construction of new bridges in selected important locations. The LGED under the Ministry of Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives is responsible for planning, design, operation, and maintenance of the bridge projects all over the country. From their development point of view, they have taken a project entitled “Construction of Important Bridges on Rural Roads” to create an uninterrupted rural road network and to improve connectivity in rural areas of Bangladesh. They are expecting that this project will be able to improve the rural transport and trading networks as well as the socio-economic development of rural people. Under this project, the LGED is going to construct bridges over the different rivers in different districts.
